Distrito Panamera is growing and expanding its vibe to the top floor. It is such a stunning view from above, having the great wide ocean on the one and the deep jungle on the other side. The warm breeze over the treetops creates a perfect atmosphere to start the evening and watch the color spectrum of the sky as it fades into darkness. This natural extravaganza or home entertainment center all-inclusive is best savored with delicacies and masterfully medleyed drinks.
For The Roof Sunset Bar – as we named the new location upstairs – we knew from the beginning that we want something outstanding. The overall process of ideation and planning was based on the constant input of the visionary imagination of Omar Rodriguez – CEO & Founder of Distrito – in close collaboration with the great Marta Benicsek for the space concept and design.
The unique menu design is conceptualized to create for each and every single bite a little wow-moment. Eyes getting bigger, chewing, coupled with approving head nods, are the most common reactions to Kane William Sorrells’ extraordinary menu creations. The young chef, born in Texas U.S., who clearly cooks at Michelin-star level is not for nothing in the haze of the well-known Danish chef Mads Refslund, Co-founder of „Noma“, which was four times ranked the best restaurant in the world (2010, 2011, 2012, and 2014).

What Kane created for Distrito’s Roof Sunset Bar is definitely a tasting menu, enjoyed with the best classic cocktails aside, while watching a stunning sunset, going down over the seemingly endless jungle of the Mexican Caribe.
The vibrant menu is categorized into three groups: Raw, Grilled and Tostada. Kane has mastered a skill for bringing together the most common local ingredients to create a marquee of the senses. The plates are not only incredibly pretty to look at, no, they entice you to absolutely want to try more. This menu like a colorful box of chocolates we do not want to deprive you!
A first flavor sample will be served at the event on Thursday, July 29th. On this day, for the early weekend inception that takes place in the upper part of Distrito’s beach club area, the restaurant and the pool area of Hotel Panamera, we’ve put together an extravagant Dj set for our beloved Distrito people with a well known special guest from Europe! Guest list only – make sure to reserve your table or sun bed. Join us and let us surprise you! AND - don't forget to head up to the roof at least for a short look at Tulum’s new "place to be".
