Tatiana Camacho

Artist based in Mexico City.

Tatiana Camacho is a Colombian multi disciplinary artist (portrait photography and abstract painting with ancestral textile art techniques and materials being her two main practices) . With a background in photography and fashion her work draws from personal internal processes as well as collective current affairs through both an abstract and a figurative lens. It is through the exploration and elaboration of distinct seemingly opposing mediums that Tatiana generates and sustains inner balance, mental and creative stimulation as much as self and collective awareness. The common thread in all of Tatiana's work is the evolution of human consciousness, the human relationship to the natural world, our ongoing study of it and our role in its current state.

The world is changing so much and so fast that it's only natural that art, the art world, and artists change right along with it. Tatiana firmly believes in the power of art as a means of self study, self regulation, community building life enhancing, consciousness expanding instrument, object and experience. To Tatiana, art is an instrument to practice self inquiry through multiple disciplines. In response to her ever expanding quest for knowledge on how human consciousness and behavior impacts the life and pulse of our home Planet Earth, Tatiana has come to understand the imperative importance that art becomes a regenerative practice.
