After a tough childhood in a psychotic family, young Edie Sedgwick (Sienna Miller) is drawn to New York. There, in 1965, she meets artist Andy Warhol (Guy Pearce), who instantly catches fire for her natural charisma. She becomes his muse and rises to become a style icon at his side. From then on, she lives in the glamorous and excessive world of the Factory, a disused hat factory that Warhol has converted into an artists' hangout, and slides deeper and deeper into drug addiction and interpersonal lack of reference.
