Gaby Ruiz

What an honor having Gabriela Ruiz at Distrito. Our first kitchen takeover held by a woman, and not just any woman. Gaby has been considered the best in her field by the Mexico Gastronomic Guide 2019, developed jointly by S.Pellegrino, Nespresso and Culinaria Mexicana. The content of her menus is one of the best for its flavors, its proposal and its concept, and we couldn’t agree more.

Family, friends, guests and more gathered around Hotel Panamera’s restaurant to taste 6 splendid dishes, each one unique and amazingly presented. And not only did the food was delightful, since we also had the chance to admire an astonishing full moon which lit up the house and made us all admire the whole scenario.

As if that wasn't enough, our resident DJ ‘Off Silence’ killed the night with his live set, and what was a very tranquil and lovely dinner turned into a dance floor. Once more Juanpi did his magic and got us dancing all night, Gaby Ruiz and friends included.

Definitely it was not hard to believe what Vogue says: “The role of women in gastronomy has been essential. Gabriela Ruiz Lugo, the chef of Carmela y Sal, shows us bite by bite.”

One more time, we thank Gaby and the team for ruling Distrito’s kitchen and bringing new vibrancy to the party.
