Día de los Muertos, Distrito style.
Guests came to experience Mexican tradition with us, over a weekend of celebration, honoring the dead. All weekend long, we served bespoke culinary dishes, colorful drinks and decoration for the famous Día de los Muertos holiday.
By morning, cacao caliente was served up with fluffy and fresh pan de muerto buns. Our Interior Designer, Marta, installed a beautiful array of traditional decorations, one being the altar: a place to help guide the spirits back to the land of the living. Marigold flowers lined the entrance, guiding the spirits to the altar and representing the fragility of life.
By the pool, we had live music from 12:30 until 2:30 and resident DJ’s on the beach as usual, from 2-7 pm setting the mood for a Fun weekend in the Sun.
Mexican tradition, done distrito style.
